2002 SAN GT40 flooding on startup

Having a few issues when starting my 02 San with the GT40. I put 225 hassle free hours on it in 12 months, then broke my ankle riding so the boat wasn't used for about 6 weeks. Went to take some mates out riding but boat wouldn't start. Only way to get it to run was to WOT to get the flooded condition to clear. Once up to Temp the boat ran fine, could turn it off and restart with no issue. I've since taken the boat out a few more times and the same issue occurs, floods on startup.
Not sure where to start on this one, any help would be appreciated...

Have you performed a leak down test? This will help you know that your actually getting fuel at cold startup and let you know if an injector is stuck open. Fuel circuit could also be stuck on causing injectors to stay open but it would run really rough with some black smoke. Could be a bad ECT sensor. They are pretty cheap and easy to replace with a large socket deep well socket. I've forgotten the size.

Thanks, I'll try a new ECT and go from there.

Dan I would suspect either the ECT or ACT sensors. The GT40 manual in the reference section lists resistance values for both of them Pages 13-14 (2A4-2A5).

They should store a code in the ECM also. I have a code reader I could send to you but metering the ohm value at start up temp and comparing to table should get you pointed in the right direction.

Did it work with the New ECT?
