    GT40 cylinder heads

I have a 1995 Ski Nautique with a Ford 351 PCM engine. I have a pair of GT40 heads that have been overhauled. Would it be advantageous to retrofit the GT40 heads on my standard 351 engine. Is there anything I should be aware of e.g. valve clearance. I do not have fuel injection, just a standard Holley 650 carb. Should I do it?

If I am not mistaken that's the major difference between the 260 and 285hp engines. How many hours on you 95? I would do heads and cam if it needed.

Bolt them things on and feel the power it is a nite and day difference that boat will come alive. are they gt40's or gt40p's. if there p's you have to get the bolt holes drilled out for the larger windsor head bolts.

        RE: GT40 cylinder heads

There was a recall on GT-40 cylinder heads around the 1995 time frame. I had mine replaced on my 95 SN. It may be beneficial to call PCM to confirm these heads are SAT. The problem with mine, was cracks around the spark plugs leaking raw water.

          Thanks Guys.

Dave210, how do I identify the gt40 or gt40p's. These heads came off a year 2000 Ski Nautique.
