Looking for a little assistance if possible. I was out on the boat this weekend when the check engine light illuminated and went into limp mode. I quickly pulled throttle to neutral and checked all of my indications for any suspect problems. There was nothing alarming but light was on and limp mode persisted. I then shut her down and did a good look over with all fluids checked and checked for loose connections on sensors. Cranked the boat back up, light was out and she ran fine until I stopped for lunch and shut her down. When I cranked it up I got the same indication of check engine light. I turned the engine back off, checked everything again and still not a sign of problems. I cranked it back up and ran fine all day with only the light illuminating on start up and would reset with a engine cycle. At the end of the day that did not work anymore. I was stuck this time, luckily at a marina that I could get a ride to my truck and trailer, but I was not able to reset the light. At this point the gauge would read low oil on initial start but would not stay on and there is plenty of oil in the engine according to the dip stick. I checked everything again the following morning and cranked the boat up numerous times on fresh water and the light will not illuminate but I am getting the momentary low oil read out on the gauge. Any thoughts on this situation and what are the chances that these two indications are related? Thanking you in advance for any feedback. Gotta keep this boat running!! The summer is just beginning!
