    Mildew removal

Just got the boat out of the garage last night. I left the foldable seat in the folded position during storage, my mistake. I opened it and it has mildew on it. Looking for a suggestion on what to use to remove it. Thanks for any help.

Leave it out in the sun for a few hours and you might be pleasantly surprised. If that doesn't do it, Babe's, Starbright and others make some good mildew removers. I have never used but I have heard many times that LA's Totally Awesome works great and can be found at Dollar stores. Whatever you use, make sure to rinse it all off thoroughly and then follow up with a protectant such as 303 Aerospace.

Exact same thing happened to my seat. I tried a lot of different cleaners and ultimately the spot faded away with direct sun. It did take almost 6 months..... If you take the seat out when the boat is not in storage and can put it in the sun more frequently it will go away that much faster.

I actually took it out last night. It cleaned up pretty good. A couple little spots, I think the sun will take care of those. On a side note, I ordered some of the bling products for this season! Pretty excited.
