2012 pcm 5.7 450 hrs engine cut out

    Guys

Boat starts then just splutters and cuts out after 10 secs

I hear fcc prime but some hesitation in sound ( I think)

Any ideas sound fuel related , pump, relay, coil??? No fault codes on screen

Much appreciated and yes plenty of fuel in tank

Check lanyard first, bypass to confirm it's working. After that I would suspect the low pressure fuel pump, cycle the key on with your hand on the pump to feel if it's running, There are relays for the pumps however if the pumps are cycling they are probably OK. Odds are it's the LPP, mine went at about the same hours.

Tx I hear the LPP cycling without feeling it engine starts and when I accelerate is loses power and cuts out, maybe should try fuel pressure test

I have ran into this issue on customers' boats before.. In BETWEEN the fuel tank and the FCC there is an ADDITIONAL inline gas filter. If they are not replaced and (they often are over looked because they are kind of hidden under the floor). That filter will eventually plug up and fail under pressure, and cause the fuel system to starve and your engine will die without throwing codes. Replace that and you should be golden. the filter will not hinder fuel pressure at an idle or with no load, it will only do it under load.

Exactly what dnobile said! Replace both filters and you'll likely be good to go.

The 2012's and later use a giant spin on monster about the same size as the oil filter. Should be located midway up the rear bulkhead pretty close to the FCC. Those are hard to miss. http://www.nautiqueparts.com/fuelfil...nautiques.aspx

Mine has about the same amount of hours on it and the only problem I have had is at he lanyard. Wasn't making consistent contact with the plunger, the weight of the cord was causing problems, short term I just cut off the cable and left it on while I ordered a replacement which now lives in the glove box since it ain't broke I haven't touched it.

If you had to buy one a fuel injection tester can be had for as little as 20 bucks, but you might be able to do a borrow a tool which would tell you right away what your pressures are so you know if that's the problem. When was the last time you had the fuel filters replaced, and the spark plugs checked, spark arrestor cleaned, have you checked for fault codes if you have the linc?

Guys both filters changed 2 months ago
My symptom is boat starts fine then starts to surge s little 300 rpm surges . You can rev it to full power but then no power when accelerate. it comes back to idle and eventually dies

LP fuel pump maybe have to try gauge on it

Any ideas I do not get fault codes appearing on my linc. Can you check them without diacom tool ?

                Plugs and arrestor are clean

Dnobile2. I believe the filters on the 200 are the spin on one above the tank and the other is in the FCC Maybe your thinking of the 206 boat ?

Guys put the pressure gauge on fuel rail and it went up to standard 60 psi but then slowly reduced to 0 and engine cut out...., guessing HP fuel pump. Any ideas

If the FCC (hp pump) is empty of fuel after engine dies, then the low pressure pump isn't keeping it full and should start looking at the lp pump.
