I have had great success with Marine31 products, i purchased this kit http://www.marine31.com/porter-cable-7424xp-boat.html earlier this year in anticipation for spring cleaning and oxidation removal. While my personal boat was not that bad, my dad's boat he purchased late last year as a project probably has not seen polish or wax since it left the factory! We used the heavy oxidation and an orange pad with the PC 7424 and then followed with the light cut/polish and white pad, and i must say it really surprised me how good the shine returned. You may want to bump up to the heavy cut Yellow pad if your boat is heavily oxidized as my dad's, as im sure if we would have known, it would have saved up a lot of time. The great thing about the PC 7424 is it is very user friendly and perfect for novice to get the hang of machine polishing (no way to burn the gel coat), all it takes is a little more time compared to the professional rotary buffers.

      HI Guys,

Sorry for the delay and thanks for all your responses. I figured i would share the result of using 3M (The number is 09004). It is a compound and wax in one so I was a little worried about being able to cut the oxidation on my boat. Ended up working fantastic. I used a buffer at low RPM on top of it. Around 1100 RPM.

Here are some before and After for you guys.

Cool! I'm about to get on mine. Is that all that you used? Just squirted it on the buffer and away you went?
