How many people put their trailer on blocks when they winterize their boat? I’ve put mine on blocks because that’s pretty much what I have always been taught. But when I look around my storage facility I don’t see a single other boat that has its trailer on blocks. Is this really necessary?

Originally posted by tryanblocks are good for tires and bearings. if you take your wheels and tires, they can't steal your boat.
Add "easily" after boat. Have seen it happen a few times.

With my last boat I told myself I would do it and every Fall, well, then it was Winter and still sitting on the tires. Had that boat/trailer seven years and never had a problem. Thought I would REALLY do it for my new boat, but most say it's not necessary with newer trailers/tires. I am, however, in a position to check the tire pressure regularly and/or move it a quarter-turn if I feel like it.
