Running temps ... PCM 450 G23

Just curious what the running temps are for the PCM 450 engine.

We run "a bit" of weight =)
23.1 mph ~4200rpm-4300rpm
Temps 170-172 sometimes hits 174 if we have to make some sharp tight turns

It will idle around 168-169 (pretty sure that is when the thermostat opens)...

mine are the same with the 409 motor

Ok thanks.. we had an overheating issues with a bad impeller and i wanted to make sure everything was running fine. Whats the hottest you have seen you motor get to while running?

Mine never goes above 168 F.

170 - 172 or so for my last two 450 boats, running hard or not. My 550 would run significantly hotter than that when weighted very heavily and running hard.
