'06 196 Windshield repair or patch

So whoever installed the bimini top on our '06 196 botched one of their attempts to drill aligned holes, so I have an exposed hole in my windshield frame (well half a hole anyway, since the bimini bracket covers part of it). Is there some sort of filler that could be used to patch the hole, that wouldn't look Jerry rigged?

Is the windshield anodized black, painted silver or raw/polished aluminum for your boat?? I think the painted silver would be the easiest to fix, just plug and paint... the other two... not so sure.

It's the sliver painted finish. What would you plug it with?

Thanks! This looks like a perfect solution.
