2007 196 Model, Fuel Pump

Situation; when the ignition key is turned on, the fuel pump does not turn on. Fuses are intact. Not sure if the fuel pump relay fuse (sealed 5 pin) is faulty. Question; I will check with a tester to see if the fuel pump wire sees power. If it does have power am I to assume the fuel pump has failed and requires replacement? Alternatively, if there is no power, the I assume the relay is faulty and requires replacement (would Napa have this relay switch?). Please confirm if there is anything else I should check. Also, have you heard is ethanol blended gasoline are the culprit to failing pumps?

I assume you mean 2007, not 2017.

What engine is in the boat?

Yes a 2007. Sorry about that. Engine is the small block 5.7 EFI, PCM

I unplugged the power from the fuel pump, switched on power, and checked with a volt meter for current. There was no current. Next logical step was the relay switch. It is a 5 pin relay of which only 4 pins have connections. I removed the relay and checked for current with the key on. There is 12.5 volts reading from the 2 pins on the left side. There is no volt reading on the right side. I also tried installing a new relay. The motor turns over but the fuel pump does not turn on. Anybody out there in the Nautique world have an idea on what may be the problem or a next step for diagnosis? I am stumped.
