Just picked this 2001 SAN up last weekend in Nebraska. Sold my 1998 Air Nautique a few days later. Not a bad swap considering I only had to drop $4,500 extra to upgrade.
So when I called about this boat I was told it had 350 hours. When I went to look at it, the dummy I am didn't look to confirm hours. Well I assume the hours are displayed on the factory Nautique LCD speedo gauge? The gauge is very finicky and most of the time does not come thru clear. Sometimes you can tell the speed but not always. And it has the up and down buttons but pressing those does nothing for me. I was not worried about this when I bought it because it has the upgraded stargazer perfect pass right next to it. Wasn't until I got home and had it out a couple times that I realized I am not able to view engine hours. Does anyone know if the 2001 model SAN with the gt 40 motor allows you to hook a computer up to read engine hours? Something tells me that may have come a few years later but I figure I'd ask anyways. Or if that gauge displays the hours on its normal screen? Maybe I'll get lucky and catch it halfway working to be able to read hours. All I could make out last time was 6.2. Not sure if that was half of my speed or half of my hours?
Any input would be appreciated. I'll try to get some pictures of the boat on here.
