Where is the boat (not engine) computer on 1997-2001 Ski Nautique?

My model year 2001 ski nautique has the original gauges and I purchased Teleflex gauges as replacements. I'm going to use 1 of the existing pitot tubes to connect to the new speedometer. Does anyone know where the computer is that the existing 2 pitot tubes connect to and how one gets to it? I'm thinking it is in the very back center of the boat, underneath the fuel tank. Does anyone know if the fuel tank needs to be removed to get to the computer?

Those pitot are probably not hooked to anything. Look under the dash screwed to the wall should be the perfect pass module. Crawl under you baot and look for a paddle wheel. Its probably really close to the hull drain hole.

I don't have a paddle wheel on my boat. The 2 pitot tubes run to a "computer module" somewhere in the rear of the boat and send an electrical signal from that module to my speedometer. That much I am sure of. I need to know where the module is so I can disconnect 1 of the pitot tubes and run a long length of tubing from that point up to the instrument panel and my new speedo. I'm hoping I don't need to remove the gas tank. I don't have PP or any kind of speed control.

This thread may help you. OP probably has a v-drive from the sounds of it, but I would guess your module is in roughly the same place on the transom.

Thanks A0128, I'm familiar with that thread as the best information I've found on this site. I think that boat is a v-drive. I'm must looking for something specific to the ski nautique. I had the back seat out earlier today and it looks to me like the module I want is under the gas tank.

It sounds like you didn't purchase the factory-recommended Faria replacement gauges for the original Teleflex gauges in your boat. The factory replacement kits come with a paddlewheel for non-PP boats and no longer use the pitot tubes.

You're correct Jeff. I'm fine with using the pitot tubes and didn't want to drill a hole in the hull for the paddle wheel.

On my 2001 sport nautique it is in the rear locker mounted to the transom. It is under the carpeted fibreglass buldge on the drivers side of the transom. I found the starboard and port pilot tubes reversed on the black box from what you would think.
