2015 G23 Won't start.......need help

Started up the boat earlier tonight, then it started raining so we stayed at the dock and I turned off the boat. Fifteen minutes later I tried starting the boat and no luck. I tried selecting start multiple times...no luck. Checked starter fuse (20 amp) inside engine compartment and it was blown. Replaced the fuse and now all I get is a clicking sound one time when I select start. Batteries are charged and are showing 12.2 volts on the screen. Engine is a 550.

If anybody has any ideas as to where I can start troubleshooting I would greatly appreciate it. I have company in town and we planned to be on water all weekend.

Did the fuse blow a second time? If not, maybe starter relay or starter itself? Pretty sure the lanyard doesn't disconnect the starter, but never hurts to check the easy stuff.

Blew two fuses. Turned out to be a loose connection at the starter.

So glad my friend and I figured it out which allowed us to spend a good part of the day on the water.

Having same issue and stuck on water now. Fuses good.

Any other ideas?

I am sure you already did this, but just in case did you removed the lanyard and then replaced it, and shifted out of neutral and back into neutral and then try to start the engine?

Yep. Tried both more than once.

battery problem? maybe try battery #1, battery #2?

Does engine crank or click but not turn over? Any ignition codes?

Tried both batteries individually and combined. Voltage on all was 12.4. No codes. All we get is a single click from the starter when pushing start.

Boat started and ran perfectly when we launched. Then we shut it down as first rider got ready. Fired up and ran great. Shut down for the switch to second rider. Then just got the click when trying to restart.

Sounds like low voltage to the starter. I am guessing a loose wire your battery voltage seems reasonable and the combination of the two did not resolve the issues.

Turns out it was a loose connection to the starter. Heat from the bad connection damaged the starter. So we're down until later next week at the earliest. Sucks to loose two weeks during prime season.

That's exactly what happened to me. I was lucky though as my starter did not fail.
