removing cupholders 2012

I'm almost embarrassed to ask this but maybe one of you has some insight or a technique from experience.
I'm trying to remove the existing cupholders to add LEDs; some popped out easily- others I'm getting no where with. Considering heat gun next maybe? Thanks in advance

On my 08 some came out easily and others were sealed in with 3M 4800. I used a door panel removal tool under the edges and just kept working it around a little bit at a time. I am sure if you used a heat gun to warm it up that would help.
