We have encountered two issues in the restoration (so far);
1-the coating on the wood stringers is flaking off in places. What is this stuff? The stringers are solid and I plan to remove the loose material. What should I apply in its place?
2-previous owner cut the fiberglass motor box 4" up from the bottom so he could bolt his barefoot boom to the pylon. I can repair the fiberglass, but where do I get the aluminum channel that runs around the bottom edge of the motor box?
