    2008 SANTE 210 weak starts

I have 460 hrs on the boat, and the last few times I've been out the boat is struggling to get on plane while under load. Motor sounds fine, so I think it may be a drive plate issue. Anyone have experience with this and how much am I looking at for repair cost?

Nothing else has changed? Meaning u've not added more ballast or shifted ballast? Same prop? Seems strange.

No changes, actually first noticed something was wrong when I was teaching a friend's daughter to wake surf. She was struggling to get up and I had to go around multiple times at idle speed. Kept having to give a little bit more throttle each time to maintain slow speed. Then yesterday I was pulling my daughter on a wakeboard and the boat took forever to get on plane. At one point I gave it a good bit of reverse thrust, then it started pulling better going forward. Kind of feels like a bad clutch in a manual car.

How much of a struggle? I noticed mine gradually struggling more and more when slammed over a few years...ended up being the plug wires

Barring the engine is running good producing max power I'd ask when's the last time you changed your trans fluid or check the level? start there.

I don't think drive plate. Revs fine in neutral?

I'll do the fluids this weekend, and see if that helps. Yes, engine performance seems normal (revs are normal in neutral).

I changed the oil on the transmission and the v-drive and also replaced the fuel filters (because I had them). Both the tranny and v-drive levels were good and looked to be in good condition. I didn't get to do much pulling except for about an hour of tubing. But that doesn't put much strain on the boat. It seemed normal. Will only be able to know when I've got full ballast and a boarder.
