2007 SANTE Port tank taking on water

I have a new to me 2007 SANTE 210 and notice the last time I was out the port side tank is taking on water. The gauge on the dash was reading half full. I thought the sending unit was stuck or bad but when I had it on the trailer I reversed the pump and it dumped 1/2 a tank of water on the ground. The tank was empty when we put the boat into the water and I never filled it. The tank is slowly filling over an hour or so of running the boat. Any idea as to what is going on with this tank?

First thing I would do is check your impellar. When it starts to break down it will allow water to seep past and fill the tank. You'll still pump water in and out but not nearly as efficient. 1 or 2 worn out veins will allow the tank to fill.
