We put the boat in the water but it wouldnt start due to dead battery. We put the battery on a charger for about 1 hr and relaunched the boat and it started right up. We ran the boat in a no wake zone for about three minutes and it died again and the battery was dead again as-well. The battery was 5yrs old, so we ran to the Marina and got a new one. Threw it in there and now the starter cranks over with ease but the engine wont try to start like it is not getting fuel or something any ideas? Blown fuse, bad relay, ect... The boat has ran fine all summer with 0 issues. Is there something you have to do when you change the battery - i know on some cars there is a reset process? This is my first nautique

I had something a little close recently. I was cranking intentionally without spark to test some water flow. So my ideas may not work for you. The obvious ones of course....the throttle upright, the lanyard safety thingy fully in and on. The fix that worked for me was to crank with no gas being injected by unplugging the harness connector behind the engine. Crank. Maybe it runs for a moment. Then plug back in and crank and see what happens. It worked for me. Someone on the "other" site came up with that for me and I'm thoroughly grateful. Paying it forward and all that.
Test your alternator while you're examining things.
