    LINC 2.0 starting issues

    Hi:

I have a 2012 210 with LINC 2.0 with all the current software updates. I have been experiencing this intermittent issue for over a year now.

    1. Battery selector off or "0" when not in use
    2. Battery selector to "1+2" when in boat
    3. Enter code and start, LINC boots right up.
    4. Hit "START" and nothing. Literally no attempt at all for the engine to start.
    5. Sometimes and only sometimes, if I turn off LINC and re-do start-up procedure it starts strong.
    6. Sometimes it won't start at all.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

I've had an issue w Linc not booting after I did a hard shut down or jus turninung batteries off. You should shut down like a PC and let the linc shut down w/o killing the power.when I've done this I have no issues w restart.

I was thinking the start button would work even when the linc (Display) is down?

I have had the LINC system for 2 years now and never had an issue (that wasn't self inflicted on my part ). The start button will work even before the system is fully booted up. Have you covered all the basics...tether is attached and firm, throttle is in neutral (sometimes the driver chair bumps the throttle or sometimes it helps to slightly wiggle it in the neutral position just in case there is a bad connection), etc.

I had a wiring issue on mine. Funny this was it was a 12 model. In the harness in engine bay one of the pins wasn't crimped in the plug

Does it send the signal to the starter relay on the engine harness
