I have a 00 air/sport that does not turn over. I have had intermittent no start problems that lead me to think the starter relay may be at fault. I've replaced it to no avail and bypassed the safety lanyard. Everything works on the dash except ignition. Can a bad fuel pump relay(s) keep the engine from turning over? I do not hear them prime before trying to start, I'm lucky if I get a clicking sound.

Sounds like you have two different problems going on at the same time 1) no fuel pump activity, 2) no starter activity.
The HP fuel pump has a relay and will be disabled by a bad lanyard safety switch, but will not prevent the engine from turning over. The lack of starter activity and the fact that you are getting intermittent clicking noises is indicative of a bad starter solenoid, keypad going bad or both.
Have you also checked the voltage on your starting battery?

i have something like that with my Gt40. I have replaced my Relay and my starter in the past 2 years. I am going to add a New Ground to see that fixes my issue.
I am just getting a "CLICK" sometimes...
I was told by Discount Ski that GT40 are know for having ground issues...

Have the battery tested before you throw more money at it. Blower and bilge draw almost no amperage and will run normally without enough juice to turn engage the starter. You should, however, at least get a click. Either way, test the battery at Autozone, etc. Its free and will rule out at least one issue.

Yes, have the battery tested to make sure it has the cranking amperage first. Weak grounding (connection at battery or engine block) is very common because of humidity around any boat.Ken

I'll be checking the battery this weekend (it's only a few months old fwiw). Brettcox, I assume you are replacing the whole ground cable/ clamp?
I have had issues with battery drainage, lanyards, and fuses the past couple of years, and it's given me fits. I'm really ready to get to the bottom of it.
One other thing, should I hear fuel priming before trying to start?

Just had a similar problem when i replaced my battery....the key is that you do not hear the fuel pump priming. In the battery box is a 50 amp slow blow fuse. Make sure that it has a good connection. When i replaced my battery i simply jarred that fuse connection and it came loose, also inside the fuse connection corroded and needed to be cleaned out. i would check that fuse and and fuse connection.....easy fix if that is all that it is

Finnz, I'm not sure what fuse you are referring to nor battery box. My battery is up in the nose, there is an inline fuse close to the battery but I'm pretty sure it's for the control panel. Maybe that's a difference between mine and a pre 2000.
I'm headed to have the battery checked, I just played around with the keypad connection and there seems to be no problems there. I did notice that when pressing the start button there is a sound/click coming from under the dash/breaker box so that leans me away from thinking it's the keypad. There's just nothing that happens under the doghouse other than perfect pass activating.

Updating where I'm at now, battery checks out, 12.2 volts to new solenoid, starter works (bench test), power to breaker box under dash, and lanyard checks out. I think the only sound I am getting is coming from maybe a breaker on the back side of motor. It will sometimes make 1 click when pushing the start button then nothing, also still nothing from the starter or any fuel priming noises. So I'm at point now where it could be fuel relays, pcm, keypad (I do get a consistent faint noise behind the dash when pushing start), breaker panel under dash), or who knows. I'm not sure what to try next.
