I have been running it and definitely recommend it. As far as props for this boat with diameter issues it has blown the doors off the "team pro" aka the 1579/1465. I still run the ocassional ski set as well and I am still comfortable with the rpms. I top out at 39.7-40 on the gps. Hole shot is about the best as it gets. I have also burned way less fuel. Even while pulling the kiddies on the tube. Keep in mind I am barely over 30mph all season long except for the ski sets.
For a heavily weighted boat I can't see anyone pushing the 1433 over the 1617. I am running total around 2500lbs give or take. Riding 23.5 on a 75ft rope

I had the 1235 on my 2000 Xstar probably for around 900hrs of the 1200 I put on it. Thing was a beast....,,,..pushed 3k like it wasn't even there. I kept it and was going to run it full time on my 210, but the clearance was way to tight for my liking. I don't want to beat a dead horse with the prop burn issue, but as someone who used to rack up 100 or so a year I wasn't about to risk it. I know some ran the 1235 for a short period with no gel burn, but I also know of and read a few different posts detailing the opposite( meaning they did experience it). I will say the 1235 still got out of the hole noticeably better than the 1617, but as far as prop choices the 1617 is it .......even on your 2013. To me the 1433 wasn't enough of an upgrade to drop 500 or so over the "team prop". Most "prop guys" would agree. If you're looking to boost up your hole shot the 1617 is it.
There are several other mfg's that use PCM which also run the same prop series. All that use their boats primarily for surf and boarding have preferred the 1617 to the 1433. Don't let them con you into their stock prop. You could always try the let's make a deal approach. Tell them you'll take their advice and try out the 1433,but if you're not happy with it you want to order the 1617 and hand them back their 1433.Last edited by swatguy; 08-03-2015, 09:36 PM.

I have the 1617 on mine. AWESOME prop, especially if you are running a lot of ballast. If you want to do any sustained activities over 30 mph though go for the 1433. Top speed on 1617 is around 38, but it's turning a lot of RPMs once it gets over 30. When my slalom skiing brother is in town, I switch back to my 1579.Current: 2017 G23
