    Oil filter gasket on GT40

    Can anyone tell me if there is an extra gasket between the oil filter and the mount, besides the one built into the filter? After changing my oil,I found a rubber gasket in the bilge. Its bigger than the gasket on the filters I use, but looks about the size for an oil filter. Just wondering if there could have been another gasket on the motor that fell off an I didn't notice it?

    No extra gasket. You only want one. The one that came on the filter.

        Its probably the ring for your raw water filter. Little larger than oil but looks the same

          Ah ha. Yes! I did empty the filter wile I was waiting for the oil to drain. Thats go to be it. Thanks!
