    Slidin out,

Your Mityvac must work much better than my Topsider oil vacuum. It probably took 45 minutes to suck all of the oil out through the dipstick tube with my Topsider and I had to keep pumping it throughout the 45 minute process.

You didn't have it sealed off well enough then. It has to create a vacuum to pull the oil out. You had an air leak somewhere it sounds like. Could have been a loose fitting at the pump for the hose or a hole in the hose somewhere.

        Slidin out,
I'm sure you are right. I think one or both of the caps on my Topsider was leaking.

The zip lock suggestion from slidin_out is one of the best hints I've had in a while. Changed oil in my 2015 210 tonight and didn't end up with a drop of oil anywhere. Always hated that part of the process. That's is why I've always liked this forum. Lean something new about our toys nearly every day.

Glad I could help. I use a zip lock on any oil filter I remove. If you slip up you usually don't spill oil everywhere. Saved my butt a big cleanup a few times but only took one screwup to figure out a better way.

Works for changing fuel filters too so you don't get gas all over you.
