    2003 SAN windshield alignment

This season my windshield seems to have shifted a bit. It is at the point where the top of the walk through is about 1/4-1/2 inch overlapping the starboard side. The starboard side is not obviously loose when I apply pressure.

Any suggestions on how to true it up?

    Thanks!

Its not really and answer, per se, but it does seem that it happens. Does it occur on the water and on the trailer/lift? I did a google search of {boat windshield alignment} and results came back from the moomba, malibu, and mastercraft forums as well.

Thanks Tim - unfortunately it happens all the time, water, trailer and lift. Still helpful.

Back in the early 2000's Nautique had problems with their open bow boats. I you hit a wake/roller hard enough, you could flex the hull enough for the walk through windshield to fall inward. They did have a few that were retrofitted with a change that required stiffening up the walk through area to avoid hull flex. But since the floor is basically foam there isn't much you can do with the walk through walls. Ideally, a brace between the rub rail and floor will stiffen the area and avoid the problem but, it was never adapted by CC at the time.
Also during windshield installation, spacers were put between the walk through windshield frame and the drivers side before the final tightening of the windshield screws. You can try doing this yourself by removing the rubber trim at the bottom of the windshield frame and then loosing up all the screens on both sides, put a spacer on the wake through and tighten things back up. You'll also have to loosen the brace that holds the windshield up and possibly redrilling the screen holes on the frame.

Thanks a ton for the response WakeJunky -

One Question: what do you mean by put a spacer on the walk through. Can you describe this a little more? Thanks!!

mnwakerider - The spacer is nothing more than two paint stirrer sticks taped together. If you loosen the windshield and put the "spacer" between the frame of the walk through panel and the drivers side to kinda force the port side of the whole windshield assembly to move away from the starboard side, then you can screen in the two sides. If you look there should be a little bit of a gap between the walk through frame and the starboard frame, it supposed to be even from top to bottom and fairly close.
