    2000 digital speedo no worky?

ok finally got the take the SAN out. Well a couple of things. First I couldnt get the balast tanks to fill with the pump. It had to be moving to fill. No big deal. The pump did work to empty though. Also the PIECE OF @#@#@ Digital Speedo was full of moister and didnt work. NO readout. I was having to use RPMS. Do I need to replace this gauge? Can I put an analog in its place? Is there a way to fix it? Also if I have to replace it. What brand gauge is this? Or do I have to go the dealer to get one?

The guage is a teleflex. You should go through your dealer because it could be under warranty. It is something you can replace. Sometimes you can get the moisture out of a guage by turning on the navigation lights to help "boil" the moisture out of there. The guages had issues with them and that is why they switched in 2003. Hope this helps!

My gauges in my 2001 SAN did the same thing. I just got my boat back from my dealer for a 100hr service and they changed out my tack and speedo. I didn't ask them to do it and I'm pretty sure it is covered... but then again maybe not... haven't got the bill yet. The gauges are pretty cool now that they work but I never minded not having them since all the information they display is on the perfect pass. Your ballast fill pump is probably not working and since the thru hull is a scoop it fills without the pump.

called the dealer today. They said a new guage is $270. Can I get this guage direct from Teleflex any cheaper? Or maybe another parts source? I have left a couple of voicemails with the teleflex rep for warranty but he has not returned my call. Hopefully it will be under warranty

Save your $270 for something else like a new ski or wakeboard. The guages have a 5 year warranty on them from Teleflex. Call a different dealer and see if they are able to help you or your best bet is to call Teleflex warranty and let them know your situation.

Ok new deal. Teleflex finally called me. He said he is shipping me two new gauges the RPM and the Speedo so they match. He said they had 3 issues with those gauges. Fogging up, Buttons, and a circuit board problem because of moister. All 3 issues were fixed with this new and improved version. He said no charge! All I had to do is return the old gauges to him and that the new gauges had a 2 yr warranty on them. This is exciting! Thanks for all the help though! I was thinking that same thing about just using the $270 for a PP wakeboard pro instead of a new guage too*S*

Thats really good news for me then too since I shouldn't have to pay either!!! I'd get the perfect pass either way though.
