Winterizing 2010 409 catanium engine question

A friend wants me to help him winterize his 2010 409, which i have not done before. if i understand the manual correctly since it is ces engine you don't have to drain the exhaust manifolds. You drain the heat exchanger, transmission cooler, and v drive, and seawater pump.

I was thinking since antifreeze is in block and nothing has to heat the thermostat to open, wouldn't on his it be way easier to just use the 5 gallon bucket, rv antifreeze and fake a lake? It is straight thru those components listed above out the back of the boat, you see pink you are done.

There is no risk of something not opening on his correct?

Drawing in the anti freeze until it is coming out the exhaust is the best way to insure thorough freeze protection as long as you drain everything first. Not draining first you are gambling the anti freeze is not being diluted along the way. On an Open system the tstat open or closed does not matter as long as you drain first.

Are the manifolds on the closed side? If not I would think you need to drain them??

Owners manual will have detailed instructions on how to winterize. At least that's what's in my 89 manual.
