location of spark plug wires '89 Nautique Ford 351

Help please. We pulled the spark plug wires on our '89 Ski Nautique w Ford 351 engine and are not sure we got the wires back on the engine in the right location. Need help in kinowing for sure where the wires go.

Page 9 of the referenced manual gives you the firing order. You need to know if you have a Standard Rotation (left) or a Reverse Rotation (right). Your PCM engine name plate "tag" will have your engine code. That engine code will tell you if the engine is L (left) or R (right) rotation. Usually it is the second letter, right after the "P".

If you pulled the cap and don't remember the orientation of the rotor, then you need to find TDC (top-dead-center) of your engine and then note where the rotor is pointing. With your engine at TDC (on the COMPRESSION stroke) position the cap back on the distributor, the rotor should be pointing to number 1 spark plug wire.
