Ongoing steering issues 196

Ok took the boat out and it was a no go. I took the rudder cover off and drove the boat with no difference. Its weird, can spin the wheel easy on the trailer. I had the shop
repack the rudder but when I looked at the bolts they look like they were never taken off. I wonder, if the shop did the work ? It was a redo after the cable did nothing. Where did you buy the rudder bushing assembly ?

Here is a discussion on the same issue. Malcom, try adjusting the rudder tab. Mine was working fine and someway the tab moved and created the problem. It worth a try prior to buying parts. Within the discussion linked below to ccfan is a link to a post on BallofSpray.com about loose allen head bolts in the helm. The tilt steering in my Ltd did not have those bolts or I could not find them.
