I am wanting to install a heater this winter in my 2012 200V. I did install the one in my last boat(95 ski). Was hoping to find out or possibly get some pictures of where the unit typically mounts in this model. Also, where the vents are typically placed. I am not doing the defrost vent but I do want to get the 3 vent model. I do have the link system so advice on where the connection for this would be helpful as well. Thanks!

I installed heaters in 2 of my 196's, and the hardest part was running the hoses from the helm to the engine. With luck, the 200 will have more space to run the hoses, as you'll have a longer run to the stern. It's nice selecting where you want to install the vents. The factory seems to put them a little high IMO. My current 196 has the factory heater, and vents are slightly above the footwell speaker.'08 196LE (previous)

planning to do later this month after my trip to Norris next weekend.. I also have installed a heater in my previous boats. i'm just hoping there is nothing special I will have to do to get the linc to recognize it. the actual install is pretty easy. I will keep you posted.

those who have a heater on their boat with the linc system. do you have a 3 speed or two speed fan (high and low)? I have 3 wires on the harness in the boat. 4 wires (low, medium, high, ground) on the heater. according to the heatercraft manual I will end up with a 2 speed heater......is this correct? I don't have the heater "active" on the linc yet so I have no way of checking.

In 11 years of owning my old boat with a 3 speed heater, I never used anything but high speed on it. My current boat is just on and off. Fine by me. It's not like you're heating an enclosed cabin that you need to regulate.

I just bought a complete kit from heatercraft, including circulation pump... But I just have an 08 230.... One thing to note, they do not have the hot tubes that you can individually close off anymore... This is kind of a bummer as if you only need one or two, the others stay closed and you get more heat.. Anyone here that can fabricate a snap on cover? No I won't use duct tape,
