How to open hatch with dead battery (2000 Super Sport)

I have a 2000 super sport with a dead battery that is located under the hatch. What is the best way to get to the battery?

Take out the rear seat bottom and reach through the side to access the battery. There is a divider between the rear compartment and the backseat but you can push it out of the way to access the battery.

There was a thread on WakeWorld where someone had same issue. Same as Jeff mentioned, you should be able to access battery by moving the rear seat.

      Here's the thread: http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/m...83/284540.html

        bpenksa,

I think the easiest thing would be to get one of the new battery jumper starts that uses a cigarette lighter hookup like these:

Cheap too! Seems like taking the seat out and reaching around might be a hassle compared to this.

          Thanks everyone

Thanks everyone, I had finally got it up. I had to remove the divider and attach cable to the battery that way. I tried the cigarette lighter method but the lighters are not on w/o the boat being in accessory mode.
