Who out there has lap fitted their prop?

I just did. Pretty easy, Napa can source the valve grinding compound and Prussian blue. All the blue does is identify the high spots. I will say that the new fit and cnc prop are super smooth, I really could believe the difference.

I bought a used prop and had a noticeable vibration. Lapped it and it went away. pulled out my new spare and checked it, ended up lapping it as well. so I checked my factory prop and it looked to be lapped prior to my purchase. not sure if it was factory done or not, but it was smooth as silk. definitely worth checking if changing props.2005 SV-211

I've done mine on the lift in the summer. I don't bother with blue....I put valve lapping compound from NAPA on the shaft after removing the key way and just turn the prop for a few minutes. I also stopped using castle nuts and bought a few nylok brass nuts. I still put the cotter pin in (not really needed). Now if I want to pull the prop I need a puller and also need to whack the puller under tension to get the prop off. That's a sure way to know the lapping worked.
