Anyone use them over the winter when storing and have access to 12v? Had a lake neighbor swearing by them. Can't say I have had battery issues as mine have always lasted 4-5 years which I thought was acceptable. Thoughts?

I take my batteries out and leave in my garage over the long minnesota off season. I don't have them on a maintainer but charge them like once a month. Probably both a maintainer and what i do are not necessary. Plenty of people just leave them alone and just charge once in the beginning of the season and have no problems...just my 2 cents.

Yes, I do use one and believe they are worth the effort and money. Batteries are expensive so I figure why not use one and keep the battery in good shape while it sits all Winter long.2015 G23 550

Make sure that the charger is a true "tender" and not just a trickle charger. The Battery Tender Plus is a good unit. You can leave that unit on 24/7. Like the others have stated, I prefer to remove my battery during the winter and keep it inside my garage. I hit it with the Battery Tender Plus every month or so.
