Alternator charging batteries on G23

I have a 2014 G23 and am wondering if the batterie switch needs to be on all for the alternator to change both batteries? I am assuming that it does not matter but just wanted to check.

Yep. All = both charging.

1 or 2 = 1 or 2 charging (separated) or starting (separated)
