    Steering Wheel Removal

Is there a trick to get the steering wheel off on my 2008 SANTE? I've taken the nut and washer off under the center cap, but it doesn't want to slide off. Do I need to strong arm it or is there something else holding it in place? Thanks

My 06 had five or small six Allen head bolts that needed to be removed...did not mess with the center cap

The Allen bolts don't do anything. Take a hammer and lightly hit the shaft while pulling on the wheel. If this does not work you might need a steering wheel puller.

06 and 08 use the same wheel etc. unless the 08 has the Full throttle package. The full throttle wheel is still removed the same way using the center nut under the cap.

On our 08, Air 210, the 7 or 8 Allens hold the steering wheel to a spacer which is mounted on
the splined steering column shaft with a nut and washer.
