Covering Boat

Anyone seen something like this. I cannot find the company but would like to use something like it at the dock.

I thought about using a garage spring and PVC and making my own. Any ideas or thoughts?

For a dock or a boathouse, I would recommend the Touchless Cover. This is what will be going in my boathouse when I finally get a house on the water.

I saw that one and would use it at my own dock but I'm going to be at a marina and want something a little simpler. I want to use the cover I have and just have something to wind it up on that doesn't require me to turn a crank, in case I'm doing it by myself.

I am in the process of developing a gadget that rolls and unrolls the cover while pouring a cold beer.....haha . Lazy ********

The method I use is fairly efficient and I do it by myself all the time. Just go around the boat and unhook all snaps, buckles etc. Then pull the nose up over the boat and throw back over the cover as to fold it over toward the windshield. Then go on both sides and do the same to get the sides folded up toward the middle to clear the tower or anything else. Then go to the back and start rolling it back to myself like a sleeping bag towards the transom. Works pretty well for me and leaves it nice to unroll back out. Granted a mechanism such as the one you posted would be WAY easier. I too searched and it looks like the company just didn't last or get kicked off the way they wanted.
