    Removing GT40- need help

    Hey guys,
Has anyone replaced a gt40 in a super sport? We have everything ready to lift but before we do I want to see if there is any tricks to separating it from the transmission? We removed the starter and any other bolts that we saw connected to the trans, but don't know if there is anything internal to the trams that I have to release (clutch, Etc...) or any hidden bolts. Does anyone have any words of advice on lifting the engine out?
    Thanks

I removed my direct drive from my gt40 in my air last season to replace the ring gear, nothing internal just the bell housing bolts and your free and clear. Just curious are you rebuilding your gt40 or replacing it?

Thanks superdare, that's good to know. I have a long block ready to go in once we get this one out.

Is the long block anything special? Just a regular 351? or is there anything specific for the gt40?
