2002 San cracked tracking fin?

I have a 2002 San and from my research it looks like there was a recall on the material used for the tracking fins in this batch from 02-03. Here's a picture of what I found on mine a couple days ago. My question is will nautique cover the fins for me now in 2016 from the recall?

I once broke all 3 fins off my Malibu when loading it on the trailer in a storm. I only knew cause the boat did not turn as well (slid/drifted around corners) later that day. It stayed like that for a week till I could get some new ones shipped to me to replace them. That will be fine and if it ever breaks you will just have slightly less crispness in the steering at planing speeds

Yep, there was a service bulletin about this. I had to have the fins on my '03 replaced at the time.

I'd check with your dealer to see if they will replace them. Show them this bulletin, since it has been quite some time and they may not remember this from almost fifteen years ago.

The closest dealer here is hall marine and I don't have much experience with them as they have only been a dealer for a 2 or so years. Do you think they would be able to replace them or should I go through the next closest dealer?

Hall Marine should be fine. I am not sure if Nautique is still covering this or not though. It has been a long time. Replacing the fins is pretty easy though. Six screws and a bit of 5200 and you're done.

That bulletin is meant for Nautique dealers, not necessarily customers. The dealer will e-mail in the claim if this bulletin is still active.

If you have to replace it, they are only about $90 after the PN discount from NautiqueParts.
