Security code won't unlock

Hi I'm having trouble with my security code not being accepted and I was wondering if it locks you out if you have entered the wrong code? It's a 2001 nautique 196. I just bought it last fall used it twice and then had to winterize it. Everything was working fine. It's now been sitting for about 5 months and won't unlock. I contacted the original owner and I have the right code, but may have entered it wrong. Thanks for any help.

Check the simple things first. Ensure the battery terminal connections and ground wire connection on the block are in good condition and tight. A loose wire was the cause of my 04 not taking the code. Do you have the toggle switch in the correct position? When you input the code do any of the gauges or accessories work, but it just won't crank the engine? If so check the shift mechanism is in neutral and the neutral safety switch is operating correctly. This was also an issue on my 04.

Not sure if you have the manuals or not but there is a mastercode that Nautique puts in the modules at the factory. When you put in your own code you add "another" code you don't overwrite the master factory code. if you can't find original master code call Nautique.

Is this code found on all keypad Nautiques? Pretty scary if so, don't want a boat thief to know about this hack!!

I tried everything I could and ended up sending the PME and keypad to Correct Craft. They just reprogrammed the master code back into it. Everything works now. I must say the service was excellent from CC. I'm glad I bought a Nautique .

We’re can I find the original code stamp in the mold on 2016 g25 I can’t find the one on the stearing bar and have no idea we’re to find the code in the mold anyone help me or run into this problem? Thank you

Not sure what you are looking for. The start code is not stamped on the boat anywhere. You'll have to contact Correct Craft with proof of ownership for that info. If you're looking for the hull ID, it is on the right side of the exterior of the transom.
