Our boat is operated in salt water so we replace the exhaust manifolds and risers every two years. One end of each exhaust manifold has a thread hole that's plugged with a fitting. Has anyone ever tried to find a zinc anode that would fit that hole? If so, did it extend the life of the exhaust manifolds? This of course is for boats that are used in salt water.
Our closed water cooling system has a zinc anode that I change regularly so this is my premise for thinking one would work in each exhaust manifold.
