Took the boat out yesterday for the first time this season. The warning light for engine to hot would came on after about 15-20 min with the temp reading about 175-180. Am i looking at replacing the impeller or???
Be first thing I would check. Especially being first run of season. Impellers can get stuck after sitting. All it takes is one cracked vein and it destroys it. When's last time it was replaced?
If you pull it and find it shredded make sure you blow out the lines and check for the pieces
