starts on 1 battery not on the second?

Getting boat ready for the summer and have a problem. started right up and ran with no problems. Next time I tried I heard a click around the motor and it will not do anything. All gauges, screen, lights, etc. not working. Switch over to the second battery and everything works normal. Swapped first battery out, same problem so its not the battery. cables look fine. Any ideas?

12.54, I tried a new battery no change. I'm convinced its a fuse somewhere?

Check the switch it's self...or the ground wire

12.5 should fire an engine. Bad cable or solenoid or starter.

check cables both pos and neg including connections to back of battery switch unit. could be the unit itself, it just has movable contacts inside.

How did you check the cables? A bad cable may not be visible to the naked eye, but will stand out in a voltage drop test.

MLA, visual check on the cables only and the ground connection is tight. How do I check the voltage drop? I ruled out the solenoid and starter because it fires up fine when I switch to battery #2.

Ski4evr and d_nodixon, good point on the switch that I did think about but it has like 20+ screws to remove the cover so prior to doing this I wanted to check here to see if anyone was aware of a fuse I have not found that would be simpler?

Are those twenty screws for the cover or holding all the breakers in place...not sure of the set up on that year model...my 06 had a bunch of screws but there was only four holding the entire assembly to the boat.

Do all of your accessories work? I am having the same issue and could not get NSS, NCRS, cruise, etc to work. I was leaving for a work trip so I pulled out the dead battery and put on a battery maintainer.

Starts fine on one battery, not on the other.

Also, is there a way to visually see if ballast is filling? I know it's on the screen but anywhere that you can actually see it.
