Just ordered some bulk carpet for a boat project and just trying to pick up any advice or knowledge ahead of tackling the project on an 02 super air. Anyone ever replaced the carpet under the bow on any of the open bow sport nautiques? I know that area was carpeted at factory before the top deck was installed so room is limited to work under there as far as getting the sheet of carpet in and out and getting a trial in there to spread the glue.... If it's been done with any success by anyone I would appriciate any advice on whether or not it's doable? Any other tips or advice on carpet replacement is welcome as Iv never done this before. Thanks

I just replaced the carpet on my 00 Air but I left the carpet under the bow alone, no way I was even going to attempt that. Just gave it good cleaning. As far as the rest of the carpet I was able to pull it out as one piece and use as a template. The glue under the carpet was almost non existent so I was able to clean the floors with a hot water pressure washers and they cleaned up nicely. The gunwales had a rubber backing that I heated up with a torch and removed since. I decided to do something different on the gunwales use hydroturf instead of carpeting. I used outdoor carpet adhesive to glue the carpet down and it turned out really good. The biggest issue I ran into was clearance around the ski locker but after some trimming everything fit.
