How do I remove a broken paddle wheel

I need to replace my paddle wheel. I can't figure out how to get the old one out.

    Any input would be great!

    Thanks,

    Luke

it should un-screw from the thru hull fitting, you may have to cut some safety wire

Unscrew the locking cap off the paddlewheel unit. Pull it from the through hull. Use a pointy object and a hammer to tap the paddle wheel pin out of the housing holding the actual wheel. Reinstall. Just make sure when you put the new "wheel "in the unit the paddles/fins are facing the correct way. The flat portion faces the bow.

Inside the boat the sensor has a ring that threads on it . I used a screw driver and a small hammer to tap it to get the ring to spin. Then it will spin off and entire sensor pulls out. Make sure to unplug it so you can get it completely out. I did this in the water one day and was interesting to say the least. Thank goodness it came with a cap I screwed on while repairing it
