Ok first trip out on the comp today and this happens. I still have the protec ignition, so for the guru's out there what are symptoms of it going bad? Any way to test it? Seems to be not firing on all cylinders most of the time and then sometimes I can hear and feel the dead cylinders kick in and fire.

When mine starting self destruction it was missing at high rpm, so likely not firing on all cylinders, and would not start when hot. Skidim has the conversion kits. My 93' the protec starting failing in 2004, you have gotten more life out of it then most. -
Yeah I knew it would go bad sometime just wanting to make sure before I spend $500-$600.Comment
