    Keyless Ingition

I have 2000 Ski Nautique which I bought used from a dealer. I don't have to enter a code to turn the engine over. I only have to push the start button. I don't have a manual and would like to program a code for peace of mind. How would I go about this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You will need to contact the factory to get your boats master code. You will need to provide CC with the hull ID number along with proof of ownership (your dealer should be able to provide you with this).

Once you have the master code from CC, you can enter your Primary user code with the following steps:

    1) Press start once to unlock the system
    2) Press buttons one and four at the same time (system indicator lights will flash)
    3) Enter a code from two to eight characters and press start. For verification, re-enter the code and press start again. The system indicator light should stop flashing and stay on (if not, press stop and begin again).

By the way, you can download your user manual in PDF format from this site:

I would get the boat in the shop, as you should not be able to start the boat without a code. If all you have to do is press the start button, and it starts, then the computer is not working. After a few minutes of inactivity (not sure of the exact time) the keypad should revert to the locked position, and you have to punch in the code to start the boat.

From the manual from my 02 (not sure if same behavior exists on 00 SN)

"Until a primary user code is set, the keyless ignition will behave as follows. Pressing start once will unlock the system while pressing it a second time will start the engine. Pressing stop once will turn off the engine while pressing it a second time will lock the system."

It comes from the factory without a primary user code so his boat is acting as expected I believe.

I think all he has to do is enter a primary code. Then he can lock and unlock it.

I agree with Huffy2k. That’s exactly how our 05 211 acts. Without the primary code, the start button is all it takes. We leave ours that way since its always goes back on the trailer most nights. When the thing times out and locks itself or you push the stop button twice you have to unlock the crazy thing again and the radio stops.

              Did not realize it.

Can you return the system to factory?

Not that I really want to as we go to restuarant in it, and don't want any joe blow to be able to hop in and leave.

Wow, must have read this incorrectly last year when we picked up the boat, the timeout on the ignition is 15 min., the timeout on locking the system is 10 hours. Pages 4-10 – 4-15 explains programming and erasing. To erase the primary code you must have the master embedded code that you must get from CC. PDT_006

I don't beleive there has ever been a primary code entered into this boat. I bought a boat off a private lake and they bought it new and never set the code. Try setting up a primary code and see if it will lock after doing it. Remember to turn the boat off hit the stop. To lock you must punch in the code and hit stop again. At that point the second light on the keypad will go out. Having said all of that my dealer was able to provide me wioth the master code from CC about 30 minutes after I gave them the hull number and proof of purchase.

On my buddy's 01 196, there is no primary code. Just the master code. He shuts the boat off when he leaves for the week and then turns off the boat main battery switch. When he returns, he flips the switch, enters the master code and off he goes for the rest of the weekend.

Thanks for all your help. I emailed Correct Craft this morning and they gave me the code already. Do I need to set up a user code or can I use this master code everytime?

On mine, I just flip the master switch to all off to lock the keypad.

Does not sound like you can lock it without setting the secondary code.

You need to set up a primary code in order to lock it with a code. See my earlier post for how to do that.

The master code is only required to change a primary code once one has been entered.
