2013 G23 Glove Box not fully opening

Starting yesterday, the glove box on my 2013 G23 is not fully opening. Trying to push it open more is met with a lot of resistance.

I looked to see if anything fell into the crevice behind where it pivots and there is nothing there blocking it.

I took off the arm that helps it open and stay open to see if that was preventing it from opening but it still doesn't open fully.

This means it must be something to do with the hinges. Looking at the hinges, it isn't obvious to me how they are removed or replaced. Any ideas? I really hate taking it into the dealer for something that seems so simple.

Maybe you could give your dealers' service dept a call before going all the way there? Definitely a pita, but I'm sure they'll be happy to help you out.
