When they unveiled the 06 models at the Nautique reunion I cringed when I was impeller pumps. I guess they didn't pay attention to the MC fiasco with those pumps. They are noisy and problematic, I had the simers in my boat for one summer and that was enough for me. If I had a 2006 boat I would give some serious consideration to replacing all three with six aerator pumps. With proper thru hulls, vacuum breakers/vents, and plumbing loops it can be done without any valves. Look at Malibu's system.

Yeah everythings fixed now, If the dealer was close i'd get them to change the pumps to the newer models because you probably have the older ones and then i'd replace the fuses with some auto reset breakers and you're done. We're really happy with the way it works now, Everythings from the drivers seat. No need to open any cocks or anything so imo this is a better solution than changing out the pumps and going to the old setup. The only problem now is you dont know if one of the rear pumps isnt pumping - ie if the breaker has tripped until you see the other one's gauge change more. I'd like to wire up a monitor circuit with some led's under the dash that show when the breakers are tripped. I guess that will be a winter project.Originally posted by 93EuroComment

I got my 2006 210TE a month ago. have multiple problems including Ballast that will not fill/empty. the belly stoped working. boat is being fixed by dealer (picking it tomorrow).
how can I check if they replaced to the new pumps?Comment

First about the pumps. I have had the same poblem with all three of my pumps. What I have noticed is that it seems the impellors get stuck in the housing and then the breaker trips. What I did to alleviate this problem is to stick a little bit of grease on the inside of the impellor housing and everything is better now. They are quieter and seem to work better. They haven't been stuck since.
I don't know what happened to the wiring behind your kick panel, but I doubt it came from the factory like that. My 06' and 02' was nice and tidy. Looks like someone was in the skrewing with the wires, pumps, computer, or something.Comment

I posted on here a month ago after I thought I had fixed my pumps. Today I went out and I could not get any of them to fill or empty. They just would not move. I removed my kick panel to look at the belly tank pump and it was hot and I could tell it was getting a current because you could hear a slight electrical wine when you turned the switch on.
I already took my boat to West Coast about 2 months ago for this problem and I had a problem the first time I took it out after that visit. I have constantly had a problem with the port side breaker tripping and now nothing is working. This whole ballast problem is really starting to get on my nerves. I was told they were going to replace the impellers on all three pumps but that doesn't seem to have fixed the problem. They actually messed up one of the pumps when putting the impellor cover back on because they didn't seat the O-ring correctly and smashed it which was not allowing the pump to make a seal.
The thing that really burns me about all this is that one of the main reasons I sold my 02' SAN was because I was tired of having to manually open and close valves. Now nothing works and I can't even fill them manually like I could with the 02'.
Has anyone had a permanent solution from CC on these pumps or is everyone going to continuously have these problems with the pumps even after they are supposedly fixed?
The auto resetting breaker sounds like a idea, but that's just masking a real problem. Even that doesn't fix the fact that sometimes the pumps just wont move.Comment

Ballast pump on 01 SAN
I'm not sure the later model still use this ballast pump or not ?
My pumps became no good after 4 years, first happen is can't empty, I founf the empty pump impeller stuck,the fill pump impeller turning noise,both are caused by water go inside the motor ,I order 2 for change, I think your problem may similar, To identify a new or old pump should not difficult, old pump sould quite dirty since they install near bildge, just have avisual check, pump price not expensive. less possible they cheap you, my pump model :atwood 4723 cost about 30.Comment

Hate to tell you guys this, but im my opinion those pumps are junk. I had 3 of them on my former boat (02 Avalanche) and had nothing but problems. The final fix was just using silicone grease in the housing where the impeller is. That fixed it but needless to say it was a frustrating battle.
I was thinking that for those of you that are having problems you could always switch them out to simer pumps. Im sure that if you pulled out the jabsco pumps and sold them on ebay you would get more than enough money to purchase new simer pumps. Just an idea. I flirted with this idea on my avalanche but opted not to because I knew I was selling the boat and didnt want to do anymore to it.Comment

CC use junk pump for their boat?? I had brose Simer but can't find suitable ballast pump.
more, sell the boat is not the spirit of this forum, we become noting to talk. I would pay 60 (not include labor) to get new pump for 4 years.Comment

Does anyone know what the model number is for the replacement pumps for 06'? Also does anyone know what the model number of the replacement impeller is for the pumps. I want to check it with what I have to verify that something was in fact changed on mine. I'm going to buy some O-ring grease and give that a try.Comment
