Gt40 won't turn off

I don't want to piggyback off my other thread about my nonstarting issue that I solved by replacing the negative ground clamp (thanks Brett). Now I have it running and it won't turn off via the keypad and the starter starter won't turn off. I can pull the wire off the starter mounted solenoid to stop the starter but when I hit stop on the keypad the engine will not turn off. So I feel like I have the problem isolated back between the starter relay and the keypad. Has anyone had their keypad cause this issue? I have looked over and over at wiring and am pretty sure everything is on the correct terminal.

in your process, did you replace the starter relay (slave / ford ... under the computer )? If so, is there a chance that you wired it wrong?

Also,.. turn the Key Pad On... watch the lights...
When you turn the "Dash" on (switch under the dash) I think there is both LED lights are off. (think Key in car but not turned)
When you enter the code when hit start ONE (right one? I think) should turn on. (think key at ACC.)
When you hit start again the other one should turn on and you will here the Fuel pump kick on. (think key at RUN)
(do not do this... but the next start should start the boat - key at start).

TEST...
after both light are on but you have not started the boat... HIT STOP... this would be like turning the FROM RUN to ACC.
if light do not change... I would think key pad (or STOP) is not working

IF light go off...
IF you hit start again... you should the Fuel pump prime again.
