2001 launch control system wiring question

I am going to add a rear ballast system to by 2001 model year nautique. I would like to wire it into the factory wiring. The link to the wiring diagram is here http://www.planetnautique.com/Correc...ingHarness.pdf
My questions related to this project are as follows: 1. pump recommendations? 2. Since there is only a power and neutral does the switch on the dash automatically reverse the pump to go from fill to drain???? Most of the new wiring diagrams map out the fill and drain on a separate wire.

Nautique uses Rule 750gph aerator pumps, ( I use Maifair but either will work fine) one for fill and one for drain for each tank. They also use a 3/4 inch shut off and 2003 and newer they use cable valves.You must have something in line to stop them from filling / draining. The exact valves can be ordered direct from www.flow-rite.com
if you use the cable valves, you will need (per tank)
1-#v1 valve
1#rk1 actuator
1#cc control cable 9 foot in front 17 foot in rear
These are the valves Nautique uses with different stickers, the cost is $60 per tank or bag

Actually, Correct Craft is not using flow-rite valves anymore. They issued a service bulletin about replacing the flow-rite valves with new T-H Marine valves a few months ago. The flow-rites just cannot handle the task of keeping water out of our ballast tanks.

If you crack open the flow-rite valves open you can CLEARLY see why they do not hold up to the task of keeping water out of the tanks.

I did not know they quit using the Flow-Rite valves, I knew they had problems in 03 but fixed them in 04. I know several people with them and have not heard of one problem since they put the stops on the valves in 04. I do not understand why they do not use 12v solenoids that energize and open with the fill pumps and get rid of the valves. I could not find them cheap enough so went with the cable valves. I put the Flow-Rites in my 01 Super Sport and now in my 97.

I'm not aware of any changes made to the Flow-Wrongs during the time CC was installing them. I did go with electronic valves on my boat, and they are GREAT. They open when the pumps are switched on, and close when they are switched off. No leaks at all. I think CC didn't want to go to electronic valves because the explosion-proof valves are quite pricy.

Thanks for the help so far. I am still wondering about the wiring aspect. The wiring diagram only shows shows 1 set of leads to each ballast "area"; one set for the front and one for each side in the rear. Don't you need two sets of leads for each area since there are two pumps needed per area??? The wiring diagram is only showing 1 set of leads per area. This is the part in which I am stuck.
