What to use to cover screw tips when replacing hard ballast tanks with bags

I have removed the factory hard tanks in my 2000 Super Air, and I have ballast bags from Wakemaker to plumb into the factory system... the only hang up is the super sharp screw tips from the boat's rub rails and a couple other random things sticking into those compartments. There's maybe 1/4" of several screw tips poking into that space down there and I can see them putting holes in the bags. I was thinking about using something rubber-like? Hunks of an old tire? Something like that... I was wondering if anyone had come up with a good solution to this...surely other people have dealt with it.
    Thanks!

You could build a false wall then carpet it to match the rest.

Just a small block of hardwood that is pre drilled would work.

Take a dremel to the exposed ends cutting them off flush, then rasp it smooth. Done.

Super fast, easy, and a permanent fix. Won't prevent you from removing the screw at any point, worse case get a new screw down the road, put it through, and repeat the process if needed.

Thanks guys. I went with the dremel idea... Shaved off all the screw tips, and found some scraps of adhesive waverunner foam flooring stuff... I stuck little bits of that over the screws that I cut off, just for insurance.
